Teaching and research opportunities 

There are 10 universities in the province, including six in Halifax, the provincial capital. Dalhousie University has the largest medical school in Atlantic Canada, training doctors and medical students at teaching sites and hospitals across the province.

Physicians interested in working in Nova Scotia can work in a range of settings, including collaborative care teams, hospitals, emergency departments, clinics, nursing homes, and solo practices.
