Dr. Onyebuchi “Stephanie” Ofoegbu

Dr. Onyebuchi “Stephanie” Ofoegbu, New Waterford

It’s the little interactions she has with her patients that motivate New Waterford family physician Dr. Ofoegbu to provide the best care possible. “When patients say ‘thank you,’ they say it with so much love,” she said. “It reminds me of why I wanted to be a doctor in the first place – I wanted to help.”

Dr. Joe Gillis

Dr. Joe Gillis, Yarmouth

Yearning for a career where he could make a difference, Dr. Gillis ditched PR and headed to med school. Now a family doctor in Yarmouth, he is helping guide the next generation of physicians for his community “I like the excitement of residents – seeing them learn and figure things out,” he said

Dr. Reza Mehrpooya
